Dear Parent,
I would like to thank you for your interest in my services and take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been
caring for children professionally for the past 12 years. My husband of 16 years is very supportive of my work with
children. He works from home as the owner of A Better Mortgage. We have 4 children 3 girls 13, 12, 10 & one boy age
6 they attend Life Christian School.
I am a member of PRO and co-facilitator for the Hillsboro chapter, PRO is a resource for child care providers, like
myself, who are interested in raising the standards of child care through education, awareness and networking.
I have chosen to care for children because I enjoy watching them learn and grow. Child care continues to be a
rewarding experience for me. It is wonderful to see how well children respond to a supportive, loving environment. I
know that by teaching young children I am making a contribution into the adults they will become.
I have been licensed by Washington County Oregon Childcare Division to care for children in my home. This means
that, after investigating my background, visiting my home and checking references regarding my character and abilities,
CCD has given me approval to care for 16 children in my home. In addition, I must adhere to their strict guidelines for
excellence in child care.
I provide a variety of activities for the children each day. We have time for crafts, interactive group activities, free play,
songs and stories. I have both indoor and outdoor toys and equipment available for play. Indoors there are a variety of
blocks, books, musical instruments, dolls, tools, cars, etc. My backyard is fully fenced and equipped with a play
structure, slides, swings, ride-on toys, balls, etc. Following CCD's guidelines, I also provide healthy meals and snacks
for the children in accordance with the U.S.D.A. Food program
I appreciate your taking the time to visit my web site & I look forward to meeting with you so you can make an informed
decision for the care of your child(ren). If you have any further questions, or if you are interested in placing your
child(ren) in my care, please contact me by email or phone. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Christina Barnes
