potty trained $175 per week, potty trained - Preschool $150 per week. We do offer a family discount of 10%

There is a program through DHS (Department of Human Services) in Oregon that helps families that
qualify. This could lower your payments significantly.
How do you incorporate your beliefs into your daycare?
We are Christian and we love the Lord. The ways we incorporate our belief into our daycare is we pray
with the children at all meals & we take prayer request & pray for children (or adults) for owies or if they
aren't feeling good. Sing Christian songs like "Jesus loves me" & teach Bible stories. Our main focus is to
teach Christian values, good morals, respect. To respect other people, to love one another by treating
people how you would want to be treated. In addition to children's music we will also listen to children's
bible songs. We focus on positive uplifting aspects in life. Not bringing each other down but building each
other up. We read children's Christian books for example about Jesus birth & why we celebrate
Christmas & Easter.
What are the different about Certified Home Childcare? Certified care is a unique choice that can
provide your child with the benefits of both center and family care. Certified homes are regulated like
centers and have many of the same requirements. Every certified home goes through an annual
certification process and is inspected by the childcare division and the county health department. The
certifier also observes the staff working with children and may conduct unannounced visits during the
year
Are you accepting infants ages newborn- 2 years old?
Because we strive to give the children the best care possible we don't take more then 4 children under 2
years old at one time. We currently do not have any openings for infants but we would be happy to put
you on our waiting list.
What ages are you accepting?
Right now we are only accepting preschoolers ages 2-5 years old
Do you have any animals?
Yes, we have 2 small Chi-poo puppies. They love the kids & are 4 lbs. & 7 lbs. They are with the children
only under adult supervision & always wash their hands after playing with them. All of their shots are
up-to-date
What meals do you provide?
We provide healthy home cooked meals & are regulated by the U.S.D.A. Food program
Breakfast, Lunch, & 2 snacks
What are the staff's credentials & training?
Here at Heaven Sent Childcare we take our own education as serious as we do the children in our care.
We are continually taking child development related courses. Two of our staff are in the process of
obtaining their CDA's (child development associate) & one is at step 7 on the Oregon registry
All staff must pass criminal history checks, are 1st aid & CPR trained , food handlers & take 15 plus
hours per year specializing in the care and education of children.
My own school age children 13, 12, & 10 years old assist me when possible & have undergone infant 1st
aid & CPR classes & baby sitting courses. They have also grown-up in daycare & are very familiar with
caring for children. The things they enjoy most is making children laugh.
How do you screen your helpers/staff?
I check all their personal & work related references. I also give them a 2 week trial to see how they adjust
to our environment & how well they work with the children.
How many children & what ages do you care for?
We have a mixed age group ranging from 7 months through 5 years old. The groups are separated by
age. One age group our "Tiny Tots" are birth to 2 1/2 years old and the other group our preschoolers are 2
1/2 to 5 years old
We are licenced for up to 16 children
How do you discipline a child?
We use a positive discipline approach to aid with inappropriate behavior. Children will learn to make
choices and begin to understand the natural or logical consequence of choice. There are many positive
discipline strategies that we use based on the age and personality of each individual child.
Time out is rarely used.
What would my child be doing on a typical day?
There is a Daily Schedule we try to follow but when working with a mixed age group the schedule has to
be flexible. Schedules help in many ways. Children know what to expect, helping them feel in control.
Therefore it helps to avoid bad behavior & keeps our day running smoother.
How do I know how my child's day went or what they ate etc?
We occasionally send a report home that tells you what they ate, how their mood was, if they had a
BM's(infants), nap times & also other info that I think you should know about. I will admit our days can
get busy & we don't always get a chance to write it out. But we will let you know verbally at pick-up if that
is the case.
How often are toys cleaned or replaced?
Infant toys are cleaned daily or whenever needed & toddler/preschool toys are cleaned when needed and
wiped down at least monthly with disinfecting solution. Toys are replaced or repaired when broken
How much T.V. time do the children get?
We believe that children can watch T.V. in their own homes and that frequent t.v. watching is not
appropriate for daycare/childcare. We do occasionally have a special "Movie Theater Day" on some
Fridays. We watch a G movie(Disney) & eat popcorn in the afternoon. Lots of fun! Other that we don't
watch T.V., play video or computer games
Do you have business cards so I can refer you to friends & family?
But of course.... I love referrals and even give daycare parents "Thank You" gift certificates towards
childcare
Here is a link to a page of cards just print up on card stock & pass them around!
Business Cards
Thank You!!
